In 2014 there was a poll on whether the US should intervene in the Ukraine.

But only 1:6 Americans polled knew where the Ukraine is located

The further their guesses were from it’s actual location 👉🏼the more they favored intervention.

There are a couple of other interesting findings in this study.
1. Members of military households were just as likely as the general population not to know where the Ukraine is located.

2. (Political) Independents were more likely to know than those identifying as GOP or Dems
In an environment of ignorance about national affairs (other than agenda driven coverage in media) - the naive public is more vulnerable to being convinced by propagandists to support punitive foreign policies against other nations (including military and economic intervention)
When you add cultivated biases, lack of knowledge, and a growing tendency for the technocratic Big Brother media platforms to suppress/censor opinions or info inconsistent with what they approve of (ie they enable, promote one-eyed groupthink, is it any wonder wars are growing?)
