This is a sensitive subject and I am prob an idiot for diving in but there exists a near total MSM failure to understand/accept/contextualise the existence of the deeply unscrupulous agenda of the Israeli state.
We seeing increasing accusations of AS which do not stand scrutiny

Mr Willsman's remarks are the latest example. His big failure was not to acknowledge that there have also been legitimate instances of antisemitism - the allegation he has made, against the embassy, is is not for me to judge but I completely understand where this comes from.

The Israeli state IS conducting an orchestrated campaign to equate criticism of Israel as AS - that is beyond any semblance of doubt. It's right there in the IHRA definition.
Indeed, it was Labour's refusal to adopt this definition which really kicked off the smear campaign.

Indeed if we look at the US problems we can see how Israel's lobby arm is clearly operating a dark agenda much more clearly. In both instances this is being targeted against rising left wing voices who are broadly and deeply pro-Palestine.

The idea we are looking at an AS conspiracy theory when such concerns are raised is deeply, deeply problematic.

The attacks on Omar started by the US media when as a representative from Minnesota and Somali refugee, and her fellow representative Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian American – have bravely criticised the Israeli government for its barbaric treatment of the Palestinian people.

Such is the power AIPAC yields it's dangerous for American officials to speak against Israel.
In 2016 Sanders was the first Presidential candidate to go against AIPAC in over 50 years “We are going to have to treat the Palestinian people with respect and dignity”

The press fall out and condemnation was immediate and incredibly heavy handed in it's faux outrage and condemnation. Bernie was labelled a self-hating Jew by Jewish comedian Jackie Mason for his support of Palestine and an antisemite.

The usual media pro-Israel sources of news went to town on Bernie and raked through his past for other examples of AS. He is now considered to wrong kind of Jew - because he supports Palestine and refuses to associate with AIPAC.

Regrettably, following pressure from Zionists and the MSM, Omar apologised.
This was a mistake. With culpabity admitted the conversation moved on to Antisemitism and away from the Omar’s original point exposing the corrupt & evil collaboration between U.S. & brutal Israeli state.

Omar has raised important questions about the validity of IHRA documents definition - questioning as to whether it is even constitutional - demanding as it does allegiance to a foreign state. For this and other reasons she is now considered an antisemite too. She is not.

Since then, around 40 Jewish bodies internationally have gone on to
condemn the IHRA definition - precisely because it seeks to "intentionally equate legitimate criticisms of Israel… with antisemitism".

So coming back to Mr Willsman - I will get there, I promise.
Whilst I am quite sure AS exists in Labour and I 100% welcome an external investigation.

HOWEVER - unless I have missed some of the content, - the febrile outrage, condemning Willsman's comments as AS - and the deliberate banner implication that he is *GASP* a Corbyn 'ally', are really quite troubling.

I am not totally convinced there is anything there that actually genuinely qualifies as anti-Jewish.
The accusations he is making could conceivably be true but -even if they are not - it is NOT antisemitic to claim an agenda from a right wing Israeli state.

Yes, you'd be an idiot to make such specific claims, without proof, but the accusation STILL isn't against Jewish people, it's against an operative arm of of the state (the embassy).
Questioning - both clumsily and badly - as to whether they are behaving in good faith.

Even if he were found to be wrong about the embassy's actions he is perfectly right to suggest that there exists a state agenda against the threat of pro-Palestine parties gaining power. It is VERY important we are allowed to speak the truth with being labelled antisemites.

That statement is 100% factual - not it does not read brilliantly but there are many, many Jewish right wingers in America who advocate for the complete elimination of Palestine and who think Trump has been sent from God to that very end.

Israel is SO pleased with his unequivocal support for the regime that Netanyahu has planned to rename a square in the central Israeli city of Petah Tikvah as 'Donald Trump Square'.
And, this is allegedly going to happen on Independence day.
