A deal with the US would be an unequal negotiation in which the UK would, in exercising sovereignty, be forced to make more trade offs than it would wish to make /2
Being part of the EU is something the UK has chosen to be part of and can choose to leave /3
Which means the UK has retained sovereignty - indeed the Brexit White Paper published by this Government made this clear /4
And so the UK has pooled sovereignty because among other things a combined block creates greater negotiating leverage with other countries /5
Which means it gets a better trade deal than it would on its own /6
Which benefits each of us all while having a voice in the shape of those trade deals /7
So basically @DanielJHannan is talking shit again /8
