For this reason alone, re-electing President @realDonaldTrump is critical. nytimes.com/2019/06/08/us/…
“Unlike the unprecedented Trump list, the liberal groups do not intend to make their recommendations public . . . .”
These leftwing, dark-money groups are looking for “public defenders, civil rights advocates and others with more varied backgrounds” (a/k/a “liberal judicial activists”) to put on their secret list.
“The initiative is called Building the Bench, and the Alliance for Justice is being joined in underwriting and supporting it by a number of other liberal advocacy groups and labor unions.”
I know Senator Whitehouse and other D senators, who are such principled politicians, are going to make spitting demands for this liberal dark-money group to disclose their dark-money donors. Holding my breath . . . Turning blue.
When we are talking about judges and judicial philosophy, conservatives and other right-thinking Americans are on our strongest footing. At @Article3Project, we welcome this debate with The Left. But why are they scared to tell us who is on their secret list of potential judges?
I am very proud that my former boss @ChuckGrassley was the boss of the “Trump judicial assembly line.” Grassley did 95% of the work for 85 new judges appointed last Congress — and 50 more judicial nominees ready for votes this year.
Justice Gorsuch. Justice Kavanaugh. A record 30 circuit judges. 53 district judges. @ChuckGrassley held the hearings and did most of the work for 107 of the 112 judges — and 36 of the 41 circuit judges — appointed by President @realDonaldTrump, so far.
