The Tories seem to be blind, deaf and stupid. They think they can save themselves by stealing Farage’s clothes after three years of Mayhem and by installing a lying buffoon in No 10....

Do they really think that ‘delivering brexit’ as a Hallowe’en gift will save their seats or their party?
Why would Leave voters choose a pale imitation of UKIP when they can have the rebranded real thing?
Why would Remain voters ever vote Tory again?

And now we’ve got Labour folk attacking ‘cloth-eared centrists’.
Who has the cloth ears here?
Poll after poll shows that the country wants Brexit to go away, that it was a mistake to vote Leave....

Yes, huge numbers of people think we should go ahead with Brexit ‘because democracy’.
But many think that way because they just want an end to this chaos.
But Brexit, with or without a deal, won’t bring an end. It’ll be just the start. There would need to be years of negotiations

The country is already suffering.
Do the Tories really think that EU will renegotiate the WA with a clown who has spent his life lying about it?
Do they really think that Trump will say ‘have the best deal ever’ when we are stranded in mid-Atlantic in a leaky raft with no paddle

Evidence grows by the day that we are up to our neck in shit and yet MPs plough on further into the mire, convinced they’ll somehow emerge unscathed from their self-interested bubble, unconcerned about those who are already drowning along the way.

To hear the likes of Patel, Coffey and others lauding Johnson with their #BackBoris hashtag, wilfully ignoring his record and the fantasy promises that he has no hope of keeping, makes me despair.

So we’ll end up with Johnson as PM, a walkout by sensible Tories (there *are* a handful), a vote of no confidence, a GE - in which both main party leaders may lose their seats, leaving us with no PM and no Opposition leader to preside over another hung Parliament

...and all the time the clock is ticking, businesses are taking flight, jobs are being lost.
When will the grown-ups take control?

PS: here’s the latest YouGov poll on GE voting intentions. Yes, Farage’s lot come top, which is why ERG-type Tories are on the up. But that won’t help them.
Farage has 26% of the vote. Parties opposed to No-deal Brexit have 50%...

...and it’s fair to assume that percentage is really higher, since not all of the 17% sticking with the Tories will be No-dealers. Some may still believe there can be a magical renegotiation. Or back the existing WA. Or want to Remain. Or simply want to keep Corbyn out.
