Mark Esper is now officially the new acting Sec'ty of Defense. Important to know that Esper was a lobbyist for Raytheon-they are a massive Military contractor. This is an unbelievably corrupt appointment. #FridayFeeling

-"..a Raytheon lobbyist brings dedication, typically, to subordinating the public interest, which may include frugal military spending, to the defense contractor's interest in raising defense spending on the highest-profit items.
-"But far from being just a one-off, this is part of an enormous Trump tilt toward lobbyists. For a candidate who ran on the slogan he would “Drain the Swamp,” Trump has swamped the swamp. Over 350 lobbyists have served in the Trump Administration. They are infamous at
-"regulatory agencies, like the Environmental Protection Agency. Put differently, there are thirty-three companies that have had five or more former lobbyists in positions of power in the Trump Administration...We will surely hear endlessly from the Trump Administration about
-"how he has a military background in the 1990-91 Gulf War as a very junior officer, or how he has been Army Secretary the last two years..it is [Esper's] role in lobbying, not his early military experience or his later time on the Hill, that dominates Esper’s resume.
-"He worked at the Aerospace Industries Association, which leads the charge on lobbying for airborne weapons. He served at the Global Intellectual Property Center of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a conservative group which leads the charge for big business nationally.
-"Before that he held a number of positions on Capitol Hill, including for Majority Leader Bill Frist. At least Esper could have a bipartisan Congressional career, but all the Members he worked for were in one party (Republican). And he worked for the Senate Foreign Relations
-"Committee, the Senate Governmental Affairs, and as policy director for the House Armed Services Committee, when these all had majorities of one party (Republican), although some national security committees sometimes have bipartisan staffs." ~Forbes
