Corbyn said to @marthakearney that he called Hamas/Hezbollah friends - at the HoC, during a very serious discussion to talk about the opportunities for peace in the Middle-East & that his quote was out of context.

Liar.

This thread will look at the context of the events 1/8
There were actually two meetings on 30/31 March 2009.

The first was a Stop the War Coalition arranged meeting which they called:
'Solidarity with struggle for peace and justice in the Middle East'

It was at this meeting where he was filmed calling Hamas & Hezbollah friends.

Corbyn claims that it was to talk about peace.

However, the event had an alternative title (according to IHRC): 'Solidarity with Palestine after the Gaza onslaught'

'focus on the role of international support for the Palestinian liberation movement [Hamas & Hezbollah]'

Then if we take a close look at the speakers.

To have a discussion on peace in the Middle-East, surely you would have representatives from all sides wouldn't you?

Or why not just invite Communists and Islamist terrorists and no Jews at all.

The day after was the Parliamentary event (with the same speakers) which Corbyn had arranged, it was also used to launch the International Union of Parliamentarians for Palestine.

What's wrong with the map on their website header (or what about Zionist watcher)?

Formed in Tehran in 2002 here are the IUPFP's objectives.

It uses language like 'the aggressive, terrorist and racist nature of the Zionist entity'.

I wonder what attracted Corbyn to this bunch of racist extremists?
6/8
Corbyn thought it was very important & very historic & he was very pleased that Stop the War Coalition and the Palestinian Parliamentarians [but no Jews] had come together.
7/8
Here's the IUPFP promoting Corbyn's 'friend' 'one of Hezbollah's most prominent leaders MP Hussein Al Hajj Hassan, who spoke at both events.

Don't miss what this terrorist said, tonight at 19:00 & 20:00.

H/T & do follow @hurryupharry where some of this research came from.
End.
