This really doesn't look like much of a geolocation challenge.

Does that boat look like it belongs to the Kootenai County Sheriff? If so, I would start looking at lakeside properties around Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. No guarantees, but its a place to start. C'mon, let's crowdsource this.
Here are images of the house, as well as several shots of the dock and teepee.
I am pretty sure this image was taken at (47.672095° -116.829035°), with the car driving south on 95 out of CDA. So, it shouldn't be too hard to find the place now.
Alright, I am going to sleep. Maybe @DaveSchmerler can take over tomorrow.
Fairly sure the second spot on the highway is located at: 47.578822° -116.896983° Given that the two b-roll spots are so close and on the same highway, I am prepared to guess they didn't dive much further.
There is a good, though hardly unique, match for road, turn and lake in this image at: 47.510109° -116.859118°
