I find it sad, although not particularly surprising, that being a former prosecutor is generally seen as a negative in the Democratic primary. Done properly, it’s an honorable and critically important job.

To those who take issue with my premise: this may not be an issue for most moderate Democrats, but many on the further left (who are vocal and active in the primaries) have an issue with prosecutors, by definition. We're kidding ourselves if we think it's not an issue.
This is a common refrain on the left. The question, "Can you be a good person and a good prosecutor" was thought to be sufficiently legitimate to be the title of a law review article in a major journal. (BTW, the author's answer was: probably not.)
