An open letter to @jeremycorbyn

Dear Jeremy,
I am writing this as a Member of the Labour Party to both express my disappointment in Labour's stance on Brexit and to appeal to you, as the Leader for whom I voted twice, to take urgent action to resolve the issue.
1/11
You committed to me, Party members and Labour voters that you would listen to us - that is not the impact you are having, despite it being your intention. Labour campaigned to Remain in 2016, two thirds of Labour voters voted to Remain and we know that number has increased.
2/11
Since then, you have seemingly tried to forge a path on Brexit which aims to keep both Leavers and Remainers on board, but in doing so, you have appeased neither group & I'm certain lost the support of the larger group who wish to Remain in the EU.
3/11
You no doubt want to placate those who voted for Brexit & are saying they will never vote again if their instruction is not respected - I get that. However, trust in democracy can only be re-established by truth & integrity, otherwise we are enablers of a corrupt democracy.
4/11
For me, the strategy to lead on is clear: demonstrate integrity by staying true to Labour values and link them consistently to all decisions and tell the truth about any form of Brexit, including No Deal. You build trust by trusting others with the truth.
5/11
You may regain the trust of Remainers who have deserted you (both members & voters) by being unambiguous in your support of Remain &, in the absence of an early General Election, a #PeoplesVote. You regain the trust of Leavers by being honest about the damage of any Brexit.
6/11
It seems like you are being deliberately vague in your statements to appease those who have shifted their support to the Brexit Party; I believe this is fundamentally flawed. You should expose both that Party and its leader as dangerously right-wing & a threat to the UK.
7/11
The Referendum only came about because the Tory Party wanted to put an end to the in-fighting over the EU, yet you are now presiding over exactly the same issue within our Party - much of that division caused by you trying, ironically, to hold the party together.
8/11
My biggest fear is a No Deal Brexit, followed by any version of Brexit which doesn't give our country better than we have now - more jobs, more opportunities, more security, protected rights. However, I also fear the break up of my Party & that looks increasingly likely.
9/11
The UK's political views used to be a bell curve, it's now a U curve, people are being drawn to clear positions - Labour doesn't have one, or if we do, it's not being communicated with clarity & consistency. People vote FOR something, not against, so what do we stand FOR?
10/11
The previous Labour Gov't failed as it went to war, based on lies. Our Party will not have the opportunity to form a government if it continues to base its policies on lies, flawed ideology and isolationism.
Jeremy, I implore you: #StopBrexit
