Here’s Labour’s new Brexit position as agreed by union leaders today,

note that if Labour wins the election they could negotiate a new Brexit deal and then campaign against it
Labour MP: "There are only so many varieties of fudge the people will swallow."
one pro-Corbyn MP: "Jeremy could wrap himself in the EU flag and sing Ode to Joy and people would still claim he isn't Europhile enough."
Corbyn avoiding full-fat Remain
the people who say this position is “perfectly clear” in a tut-tut voice have maybe never been on the doorsteps before
Labour has just put out a statement after shadow cabinet emphasising part 1 of the new position (Remain) and glossing over part 2 (Leave is there’s a general election)
I’m told that shadow cabinet doesn’t explicitly back the TULO position of wanting to campaign for Brexit in a general election....instead “we decide when there is a general election”....
given the election manifesto would be decided by membership, MPs and unions it’s easy to imagine Labour ending up campaigning to revoke Article 50....or fudging it again....
