In the story, you see pictures of the MP from Richmond standing with, shaking hands, and attending events sponsored by some men that are targets in RCMP investigations into an alleged transnational cartel linked to fentanyl, weapons trafficking, corruption, money laundering,
poaching and wildlife trafficking in BC, prostitution, illegal casinos, criminality in @BCLC casinos, and with connections to officials in China, according to allegations in documents and from law enforcement sources.
A source said that during the E-Pirate probe, which was started in 2015, the RCMP “was hearing” Peschisolido was “affiliated” with — and involved in “structuring” investment deals for — some of his law firm’s clients that “he knew” were associated to Asian organized crime.
This is Joe Peschisolido promoting an event to foster ties with China through sport, at a business linked to illegal casinos and the man named Rongxiang 'Tiger' YUAN ... A top RCMP suspect, @BCLC VIP, PLA hero and political figure in Canada. 
Here, a month later, October 2018, Mr. Yuan and Mr. Peschisolido have the places of honour at a private Vancouver club that promotes China's cultural primacy and also promotion of relations with Canada, according to event reports and the speeches.

The caption for this photo in one Chinese language report translates to 'Old friends excited to meet again.' Mr. Peschisolido said he does not know these men, and the caption is not true.
And here is one photo from Chinese reports about Mr. Rongxiang Yuan's service in the PLA. He is portrayed as a hero and nationalist in China, and that seems to be his image in Canada and in his political speeches here.
END Joe Peschisolido says he has never been contacted by anyone regarding the RCMP's file, and that he does not known Tiger Yuan, Paul Jin, Kwok Chung Tam, although he acknowledges he may have been pictured with any of them at the many events he attends as an MP.
