1) Time to teach y'all a little something about strategery.

The art of winning by destroying your opponent's ability to win.
2) Let's start with something simple.

The AOC #Squad vs Pelosi.

Pretty clear fight. Ideological split, Dem civil war, all that fun shit.

3) But... the election is over a year away. What happens if either side wins the Dem civil war? They'll be united under that common banner by the time the election rolls around.
4) When a third party intervenes in a civil war, the purpose is not to help one side win, typically. It is to prolong the conflict in order to weaken a rival. To intervene in a Civil War for this purpose is strategery.

Why did the French intervene in the Revolutionary War?
5) They wanted to prolong the conflict to sap England of resources, so the French would have an advantage in later conflicts. They didn't fully commit until the outcome of the war was already leaning heavily towards the United States, as everyone underestimated the drunk farmers.
6) So, what is it that Trump does in a Dem civil war if he operates using strategery?

Prolong the conflict.

He prolongs the conflict because the AOC #squad is unpopular among key voter groups that the Dems absolutely HAVE TO HAVE in order to survive 2020 axios.com/alexandria-oca…
7) The AOC #squad getting jettisoned out of the Dems would ultimately help the Dems by shoring up swing voters hoping for a shift back to the center more than it would hurt by alienating progressives who are a temperamental and unreliable bunch anyways when it comes to voting.
8) And so, Trump has done a Batman Gambit, and as usual, the effects and reasons aren't obvious until after the Batman Gambit comes to fruition.

So first, he fires off a shot at a vague collection of Dem congressional representatives without naming names.
9) AOC and Pelosi who were at each others throats not 48 hours ago are back on the same team suddenly cbsnews.com/news/trump-twe…
10) And now that they're back on the same team, Trump's able to launch attacks tying the AOC #squad to Pelosi and the rest of the Dems
11) What's changed? That he was called a racist? We've heard that shit HOW MANY TIMES over the past 3 years?

The Dem Civil War was put on pause, and when the Dems are trying to court swing voters that's an existential crisis, b/c the AOC #squad just got legitimized by the Dems.
12) Trump's even calling his shots now.

He WANTED Pelosi and AOC on the same platform because one drags down the other.

13) To the dumbasses, the fearmongers, the concern trolls, the moralists and hand wringers, the absolutists and radicals and and anxiety stokers alike, I say only one thing.
