@BorisJohnson We don't believe that a deal can be done by October 31, there's isn't time. (So if he's serious about a 'deal' he'll be needing an extension sooner or later) /2

@BorisJohnson We we don't believe @BorisJohnson has the majority to force a 'no deal' through Parliament. (The vote last week made that pretty clear, so we're not moved to make concessions with empty threats) /3

@BorisJohnson We don't believe Johnson has ability to whip a majority for a tweaked deal (or at least, we won't believe that until we see it, and enough Labour MPs are going to help Boris deliver?) /4

@BorisJohnson And even if Johnson could force a 'no deal' we don't really believe he would go through with it.

There are reams of 'no deal' legislation that is not passed; and Johnson will have no majority to mitigate no deal (trade, immigration, Northern Ireland). /5

@BorisJohnson So when confronted with the reality of a national face-plant - a no deal with no mattresses at the bottom of the cliff - the betting is that reality - or political gravity will reassert itself. /6

@BorisJohnson Not saying it is insuperable to change this; but it will be incumbent on Johnson to remake the political weather....until then the EU won't move.

Just watch, wait for now...see where the gravity leads us.
