Big data theft of Capital One customer info 👇

A software engineer at a cloud computing company breached the server where Capital One data was stored and stole millions of credit applications containing personal data.
Here’s the complaint which contains more info:

SO, the Capital One data thief used to work for AWS (Amazon). No idea yet if it was Amazon's servers she got into to access the Capital One Data.

Here’s yet another patient recruiter that was charged and found guilty for paying and receiving kickbacks related to more government #HealthcareFraud.
There have been several cases related to patient recruiters, though this probably isn’t all of them.

This guy paid kickbacks to a patient recruiter.

The DOJ appointed Robert Zink as permanent Chief of the Fraud Section, which investigates and prosecutes white collar crime (under which the FCPA falls).

FBI is investigating Ghislaine Maxwell's environmental "charity" Terramar.

I remember reading someone's thread recently and they dug up some info about Terramar, but now I can't remember who it was. Grrr, I need to find it.....

LOL, after the NY Post started asking Terramar questions earlier this month, they blocked their public website and made it password-only.

And just last week, Terramar completely ceased operations!

UCC had opportunity to comment on the #Data.Protection & Privacy Bill. The enactment of this law is long overdue. A comprehensive law on the collection & processing personal information gives effect to the right to Privacy envisaged under Article 27(2) of the Constitution
UCC welcome the protections offered by the Bill in terms of export of data, breach notification requirements, data subjects access rights, automated decision making, compensation and the right to be forgotten and provision for financial and penal sanctions for breach of the law.
Distinction between Data collectors & data controllers.
The Bill should however clarify & distinguish Data Collectors, from Data Processors & Data Controllers. Clause 2 is inconsistent with international good practice which provides for two broad categories of Data Controllers
