New data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics shows a dramatic spike in federal arrests of non-citizens compared to citizens.

While non-U.S. citizens make up 7% of the population in 2018 they committed:
—24% of all federal drug arrests and
—25% of all federal property arrests
—28% of all federal fraud arrests

Total U.S. federal arrests of non-citizens from Central America are up by over 3,300% since 1998, according to new DOJ data.
