I don't like talking about He Who Shall Not Be Named, because he isn't even the worst of modern politicians. But he's pretty bad, such as this retweet: 
Donald Trump is the most honest of our politicians. He speaks frankly, telling us exactly what he's thinking, giving us a window into his soul, instead of like most politicians that carefully watch what they say, to hide from us what they are really thinking.
Sure, Trump still lies often -- but badly, so very very badly. Can you even consider it a lie when it's so bald face and transparent?
Anyway, he often speaks off-the-cuff instead of carefully from a teleprompter. This means he's going to say a lot of dumb things that a more careful person might not say. It doesn't mean he's dumber than, say Obama, but only that he's more honest and refreshing.
But after saying a dumb thing off-the-cuff, when he's had the chance to carefully consider it, he doesn't seem to correct himself, but double-down on it. Such as in the above case: he apparently seriously thinks he might win a Nobel Peace Prize.
Sure, we get a better window into his soul than the average politician -- but then it's dark and twisted, and you know, something I'd feel a lot happier not getting this view into.
