News hosts are asking the impact of an underwhelming whistleblower’s report. This ignores that Trump has already admitted:

1/ He pressured a foreign leader to collude with his lawyer to dig up dirt on Joe Biden’s son, and,

2/ He withheld military support to add pressure.
The vapidity of news analysts suggesting the whistleblower’s report may not offer new information is EXACTLY why Trump admits his impeachable acts up front.

“Nothing to see here. I’ve already said I did this!” Trump will say.

The press shouldn’t fall for it.
One more thing: stop predicting how the Senate will vote on impeachment. The inquiry hasn’t even begun. Watergate and the Mueller Report both proved we never know how these investigations end.

Trump hacks are now circling the wagons trying to confuse the most dimwitted among us. Rather than losing the “quid pro quo” argument, they retreat to the position that Trump’s Biden “ask” was separated by a few sentences from Ukraine’s military “ask”...so it’s irrelevant. 🤣🤣🤣
After a brief, rambling litany of investigations ranging from Crowdstrike to Hillary’s emails to Mueller, Zelenskyy picks up on Trump’s cue and says Giuliani will be coming to Ukraine and help with “that investigation.” Trump then shows his hand, bringing up Biden and Barr.
Those pushing this desperate defense of Trump can only hope their audience is too stupid or lazy to ready the short transcript.

(1) I'll be honest, I had reservations about #impeachment since the start. It's not popular to say on Twitter, but I worry about an electoral backlash when the #Senate likely acquits. But #Trump's #UkraineExtortion is just too much; it's my breaking point. nytimes.com/2019/09/23/us/…
(2) Now we know that Trump personally ordered Mick Mulvaney to freeze $391 million in military aid to #Ukraine right before he pressured Ukrainian President Zelensky dig up dirt on the Bidens. This plot has all the criminal subtlety of a community theater production of Goodfellas
(3) It was bad enough #Trump targeted a political rival's son. It was horrifying he asked a foreign leader to intervene in our election. But now it's clear he turned U.S. military aid to #Ukraine into a shake-down scheme. If this isn't enough, where do we move the goalposts next?
