they were being pulled into something that happened so long ago.
This church just happens to be within walking distance of my house, and they just happened to hire the youth pastor from my former church who ignored my abuse and let my abuser continue to work with students.

I couldn't breathe when I found out my former pastor was so close to my new life. The news was VERY hard for me to process when I first made the connections. The children in this church go to school with my child. Suddenly, my new life didn't feel safe anymore.

I had good reason to fear.

Yesterday, I found out the church not only hired my former pastor but they also hired the mission organization where my abuse took place, and they are actively recruiting students for this organization, as young as 6th grade.

I feel so much desperation today. I want the leaders of this church to listen to what happened to me and protect others from the abuse I endured, but they seem to be choosing to ignore my warning, as they have known about my accusations against Awe Star for several months.

I cannot shake this sadness.

I'm also confident now that I made the right choice by posting these letters publicly and attaching them to the names responsible for helping this organization still have access to vulnerable youth.

I stayed silent because I didn't want to commit the "sin" of gossip. Now I see how the system works. Victims cannot stay silent, or monsters will continue to lurk in shadows, free to prey on the innocent.
I was innocent. I was young and naïve and trusting, and they broke me.

They covered up an exorcism in a Southern Baptist ministry. They heard details of my arms being held down, and they still send students to these people.

I have sounded the alarm. @Northroadchurch has chosen not to listen.

Once again, leaders do not seem interested in seeking the truth. Where is the Holy Spirit guiding the leaders of this church?
In his absence, humans will have to do the work. Humans will have to expose these leaders for their inaction and call out the truth for the world to see.

Please share this information. Please contact @Northroadchurch and ask them to protect their children by discontinuing their "friendship" with Awe Star Missions.

Eighteen years ago, its leaders forced me to tell them explicit details of the sexual abuse from my childhood and then performed an exorcism on me telling me my future children would be sexually abused if I did not comply.

When I reported this to my church, @embracetheword, Awe Star Missions told them I made it all up. My church leaders, Bob Feeler and Joe Braden, believed their long-time friend, and I was left to deal with the damage of my experiences alone.

My life spiraled into chaos as I struggled with undiagnosed PTSD for years, and my life almost ended in suicide at the age of twenty-three. What happened to me had dark consequences, and my church leaders dismissed it like it was nothing, like I was nothing.

I believed them for so long, and I lived in dark shame. It has taken work and many years in therapy, but I have clawed my way out of that darkness. My goal is to shed light on all the dark things from that world and place the shame I carried for so many years where it belongs.15/

@WalkerDeanMoore and @PeggyNunley performed the exorcism. They have never admitted the truth in all these years. Help me protect students from people who are masquerading as "godly leaders" but have been lying about their horrific, life-altering deeds for eighteen years. 16/19

We live in a time when survivors of horrors are finding their voices, and the world is hearing them and believing them. This is how we change the world. This is how we fight for justice.
I'm asking that from the world right now. Hear me. Believe me. Help me protect others.17/19

I was too broken back then to fight them. I'm ready now. Their lies will not hold up against my truth.

I will keep telling it.

I hope @Northroadchurch won't choose to ignore it. Children are not safe with Awe Star Missions. Its leaders are corrupt.
