NEWS: In a shift, Elizabeth Warren now says she will NOT do big-money fundraising events if she's the Democratic nominee.

She had previously said her ban only applied to primary.

She made comment to @cbszak in the same interview he asked about her losing her job while pregnant. CBS posted the full interview last night here:

@cbszak Warren on facing Trump: "I’m not going to do the big-dollar fund-raisers. I’m just not going to do it"

@cbszak The Warren campaign calls this a "clarification."

But Warren had been clear from her first-day interview with @chrislhayes that her fundraiser ban applied only to primary

Check out the 2/25 transcript (highlights mine):

@cbszak @chrislhayes Warren did headline a DNC event in August and has another one coming soon.

But at the one already held, she did not meet with or provide any access to the donors who attended. nytimes.com/2019/10/09/us/…
@cbszak @chrislhayes The decision will certainly win over those aligned with Bernie Sanders.

But it also risks backlash from the Democratic establishment she has courted (see @jmartNYT story on that: nytimes.com/2019/08/15/us/…)

@cbszak @chrislhayes @jmartNYT An early reaction from Obama's former finance director —>

"The Democratic Party just went bankrupt."

@cbszak @chrislhayes @jmartNYT There are still some outstanding qs here.

Her campaign said it would ensure "state and national parties have the resources they need."

Nominees and the party typically have giant joint fundraising committees. That's how Trump raised $125 million in Q3.

@cbszak @chrislhayes @jmartNYT Again, you can watch Warren's remarks to @cbszak at about the 7-minute mark in this video nytimes.com/2019/10/09/us/…
@cbszak @chrislhayes @jmartNYT NEW: Warren's campaign has just issued a longer statement in response to questions about her position on fundraisers in the general election, the DNC and state parties.

I am posting it in full.
