Meaningless, disingenuous nonsense from govt.

Dominic Raab has actively sought to slash workers’ rights in Britain for many years. It may be he thinks they don’t “deserve” rights. Who decides?

Here is @DominicRaab’s paper written some years ago on the “burden” of employment rights, including a call to abolish wholesale the working time regulations, which ensure you are safe at work by giving you regular time off, breaks and holiday pay.

If you haven’t read Britannia Unchained, you might not know that members of current govt, Kwasi Kwarteng, Priti Patel, Dominic Raab & Liz Truss all criticised “idle” British workers as they called for major deregulation.

Yet today some MPs might vote for Johnson’s deal, on the basis of some self-evidently worthless assurance on workers’ rights which is worse than May’s.

TUC calls to vote against the deal. Those Lab MPs choosing to vote for WA2 deal have no excuse to claim ignorance.
