This is contrary to the WH line, and the line of Trump's sycophantic followers, that they were trying to investigate corruption.
Giuliani was running an irregular back-channel foreign policy for the purpose, in his words, . . . "to discover evidence to defend my client against false charges."

Trump's own lawyer admits they used U.S. foreign policy to advance Trump's personal interests.
Abuse of office is an offense worthy of impeachment. Giuliani has now straight up tweeted that they used their shadow foreign policy to advance Trump's interests rather than U.S. interests. It was, in Giuliani's words, "everything I did."

That's an abuse of office.

The fed. court decision giving the House access to Mueller grand jury materials includes a beating for the claim that the House must pass an impeachment resolution before the committees can investigate impeachment.

Notes that's not how it worked for Johnson, Nixon, or Clinton.
Then the court notes a bigger problem: constitutionally, the House gets to set its own rules. The judiciary can't just come in and impose an impeachment resolution requirement on the House committees.

2d Cir.: QI for police officer who cuffed woman backwards and continually tightened them even after she cried out causing never damage bc it was not clearly established that she didn't have to *verbalize* her distress. supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/19/1…
To its credit, the panel notes that this case is now clearly established law that individuals subject to excessive force in handcuffing don't have to actually verbalize "excuse me, officer, you've cut off the blood to my hands causing me excruciating pain" before suing them.
Also, the final footnote in this decision is a doozy. TLDR: she says they knew each other bc the officer had previously had a relationship with her daughter; police officer denies.
