1. @ASUUNGR has not been able to convince Nigerians why the Union is resisting integrated personnel payroll system (IPPIS) on its members.
I only see a group trying to cover and encourage corruption, depriving her constituency of much needed funds to meet vanguardngr.com/2019/10/asuu-t…
2. Infrastructural development in our Universities, funds for Research and reduce wanton strikes.
The fraud and mismanagement of funds going on within the walls of our Universities masterminded by VC's with help from members of @ASUUNGR will shock Nigerians if @officialEFCC
3. Beam its searching.
A good example is a Professor in @uniben (a Federal University), receives far less (50k -100k) than its counterpart in ABU (another Federal University )running the same salary structure.
Same goes for other academic staff.
If IPPIS will solve this anomaly,
4.Why is ASUU resisting it?
Another case is someone who left Edo State University,Ekpoma (a State University ),joined @uniben got a higher position as a lecturer, but her salary dropped by 50k.
Note she wasn't demoted bt upgraded position
Does States now pay higher than Federal ?
5. Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFUND)a scheme established by Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011, to disburse, manage and monitor education tax to government-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria has also become a ring of corruption by VC's with help frm @ASUUNGR members
@TetfundNigeria allocated to universities like @uniben for research develop wings as hardly do @uniben lecturer have access to such money for research nor does their counterparts in most Nigerian Universities do.
But @TetfundNigeria gets well balanced sheet of Money spent!
7. @ASUUNGR and @TetfundNigeria magic ,right?
The President of @ASUUNGR used words like "planned imposition" "we will resist" etc
What he doesn't know is, larger members of @ASUUNGR are tired of working and not getting what is due to them and have long waited for IPPIS, for year
8. To be implemented so that the era of "monkey dey work, barboon dey chop " shld be over.
Billions released by government to pay hardship allowances to lecturers was another big fraud in the Universities as most lectures didn't get what's was due to them as VC's did the usual.
9. @ASUUNGR shouldn't dictate how his employer,@NigeriaGov should pays them because from all indication, the integrated personnel payroll system (IPPIS) has proven to be more effective in reduction of ghost workers and saving revenue for government.
Why resist a good policy ?
10. Universities helps in solving national problems and not creating more like @ASUUNGR has been doing over the years, misleading us to always blame government.
Every project of a final year student leaving the University solves a problem in the society and creates jobs.
11. @ASUUNGR should accept the integrated personnel payroll system (IPPIS),focus more on helping society solves its problems through research and sell such breakthrough to Federal,State and Local Government.
Build good relationships with banks towards actualization of inventions.
