Facebook isn’t a state. It doesn’t run courts or prisons. It’s a big machine that collects and curates content to put in front of people and watches what they do with it. It makes value judgments about what to amplify and what to hide every nanosecond.
And the people who run that big machine have let it inflame a genocide once already. In a better world, their thinking on the subject would be somewhat beyond the high school junior who has read two and a half pages of Milton.
