I asked top experts to examine my #MedicareForAll plan, and they concluded we can cover everyone and give them vastly better coverage—without a tax increase on middle-class families.

This analysis was led by Dr. Donald Berwick, one of the nation's top experts in health care improvement who ran the Medicare and Medicaid programs under President Obama; and Simon Johnson, the former Chief Economist at the International Monetary Fund and a professor at MIT.
In addition to providing coverage for everyone, they concluded that my plan would slightly reduce the amount of money that the United States would otherwise spend on health care over the next 10 years.

I'm running a grassroots campaign. I don't take money from federal lobbyists or PACs, and I don't take contributions over $200 from fossil fuel, Big Pharma, Big Banks, or Big Tech executives. And I’m not doing call time with wealthy donors or giving them special access.
Last month, I called on every candidate in this race to disclose any donor or fundraiser who has a special title on their campaign, and to disclose the dates and locations of their fundraising events and the names of every person who appears on their host committees.
I’m still waiting. Voters have a right to know who is buying access and recognition with the possible future leaders of our party—and how much it costs. We can talk all we want about how to get big money out of politics, but nothing will change unless we start leading the way.

This starts with care in how we deploy our forces. Decades of wars have sapped our strength, and the burden has fallen primarily on military personnel and their families. It's not fair to ask them to solve problems that don’t have a military solution.
We can honor our veterans by ending endless wars, reining in our bloated defense budget and reducing the influence of defense contractors at the Pentagon, and bringing our troops home responsibly—and then providing our veterans with the benefits they’ve earned.

First, it's FANTASTIC that we have several candidates who are serious about real, single-payer healthcare. Warren's team took a serious crack at financing M4A that doesn't water down the facts of M4A

The plan brings some important points to the table. Not necessarily by way of M4A, per se, but around progressive taxation, an area where Warren has led.

But the plan raises some core questions. The most important of these is "why are we so afraid to ask the middle class to pay for healthcare when we know M4A will cost them less both upon implementation and over the long run?"

Our current healthcare system is very inefficient because the cost should be doctors +treatments +hospitals , but we also have to pay the enormous profits of the private insurance companies. It is projected that current system will cost 50 trillion over the next 10 years.

Scheer is wrong when he says we raised taxes on the middle class. We cut taxes, providing $13.3 billion in direct tax relief. Today, middle class families are more than $2,000 better off per year, than they were in 2015. Source: @OECD & @FinanceCanada
