A vote for the #Tories in this election is a surrender vote, a vote to stay under #EU control. #Johnson’s insistence on pushing his #FakeBrexit shows he has no intention of delivering independence. He won’t even try. The #BrexitParty is the only vote if we want #Brexit delivered.
#Johnson has broken trust with the people. He could have been a national hero, but has stayed loyal to his own tribe. He’s hoping we’re so worn out by 3 years of lies and obstruction we’ll settle for anything. His #FakeBrexit is an establishment trap to keep us under #EU control.
#BorisJohnson has a large majority in the palm of his hand if he makes a ‘no deal’ pact with #Farage and the #BrexitParty, but he refuses to do it because, like most #Tories, he doesn’t want the #UK to be independent.

We know #Brexit is having an impact already due to flux & uncertainty.

I don't think this #deal necessarily gets rid of this in either short term [will it get ratified?] or the long term [we, in theory, cd all be back pondering how to avoid a hard @BorderIrish in <6 yrs time]

The #deal on the table enables a hard Brexit for GB (what consequences for east/west?) and puts off nitty gritty of major and difficult decisions for the future, and (in theory) into hands of NI MLAs...

It's possible to plot precisely when Labour dropped the Brexit ball. It was during the vote on Joanna Cherry's amendment to do away with no deal. It failed by 102 votes. 104 Labour MPs abstained (under Jeremy Corbyn's orders).

Had the amendment passed, it would have taken no deal off the table or made it nigh on impossible. But JC gave the orders, and although 121 Labour MPs defined the instruction to abstain, it wasn't enough.

And the date for this catastrophe? 1 April 2019.

You couldn't make it up!
And of course it was reported in the pro Brexit press as MPs turning away from the chance to block no deal (and by implication accepting the prospect of no deal).

1. A thread on Brexit. A lot of people seem to think that this week's actions in parliament have taken no deal off the table. They have not. No deal is the default, although in a way for some people it's already happened.
2. Ships have already left the UK for Asia with no idea of the customs regime that will apply when they arrive in Singapore. In a way, No deal happened about a week ago for things on the boats and the people shipping them.
We leave by automatic operation of Article 50 at 23:00 UK time on the 29th of March. No action is required for this to occur. Why 23:00? Because it's midnight in Europe and GMT doesn't mean shit to the EU. That tells you who's the junior partner right here, like it or not.
