@HassenMorad @BernerBob @RJCHVZ @BernieSanders I made this point earlier: Bernie isn’t proposing a flat tax or an immediate forfeiture of anybody’s wealth, I’d even assert the bill (if passed) would be largely amended by congress and much more lenient. I don’t think Gates’ or Bezos’ wealth is reasonable and should be taxed.

There have been good things done by billionaires, still they are either largely at the public response. I’d also think it very irresponsible for someone who has accumulated such wealth through vicarious business

When 99.99% of humans will never need nor accrue near a billion USD in wealth, it begs the question why any individual would need that much. It is very hard

And from there I don’t think it’s inherently wrong to want to leave a sum of money behind for one’s lineage reflective of one’s success but, one billion is still even more than anyone can feasibly spend on themselves and their family in a lifetime. Which is why I support a wealth tax that forwards progressive movements and benefits the society that contributed to it inexorably. Social growth is economic growth, and it shouldn’t lie in the hands of an individual to how it is best implemented.
