Trump’s “move” from New York to Florida doesn’t impact where he’ll have to file tax returns next year. It doesn’t impact the New York grand jury’s ability to obtain his tax returns or indict him. It doesn’t impact jurisdiction.

Stop overthinking it. It’s about money. He’s broke.
Throw in the fact that he’s suddenly selling off his only truly profitable hotel for cash, and it couldn’t be more clear that he’s broke.

Maybe Trump is doing a bankruptcy, maybe not. But the guy is clearly out of money, and for some reason it’s reached a crisis point.
“But how can Trump be broke when he’s running so many grifts and he’s on the take from foreign governments?”

Same way Rudy just admitted he’s out of money. When you have no legitimate income, and you live off illegitimate payoffs, you keep needing more. You never have enough.

Donald Trump is making the embarrassing move of changing his residency away from New York just to save a few bucks, in the same week he's suddenly selling off his only profitable hotel for cash.

Make no mistake: Trump is BROKE, and he's expecting his finances to get worse soon.
I don't know why Trump is expecting his troubled finances to completely collapse soon, and neither do you. Could be Putin cut him off. Could be he's expect asset forfeitures in the New York case. Could be a lot of things. But something major is up here.
Trump's stated reason for fleeing New York, that he doesn't want the grand jury getting his state tax returns, makes no sense. He'll have to keep filing in New York anyway. This is about money.

In short - it follows a 2yr drive by Boris to befriend the president’s inner circle. And worked thanks to charisma, flattery + hard Brexit.

Just two known meetings while in office - Nato in Brussels (May 2017) and UN in New York (Sep 2017)

Both were brush-bys rather than formal sit-down talks.
But that last meeting left an impression.

Trump told his longtime friend Chris Ruddy shortly afterwards: “I really like him. I’ve heard good things about him.”
