The protestors were there because an Israeli hero - who has saved 1000s of Syrian lives was talking. They don't want the world to hear the truth. These type of speakers threaten the toxic lies of #BDS - so it makes them even angrier
The crowd sang the usual chants about 'Zionism' being a crime. Understand that this means 93% of Jews are guilty in the eyes of the protestors and therefore deserve to be silenced and attacked. How is this NOT antisemitism?
Listen to this chant. "What do we want? We want the Israelis off our land. From the river to the sea Palestine will be free".

They became more abusive and aggressive. Then came the first violent attack - from behind - two anti-Israel protestors grabbed at an Israeli flag being held by a Jewish activist - they succeeded in breaking the flagpole.
Then came the attack on me - the Jewish journalist. My crime was reporting on the event. Someone slowly edged towards me before trying to take my camera. I wouldn't let go, but he broke the tripod.
This rising fascism is the face of London in 2019. Corbyn's @uklabour has made them even more brazen. The security wouldn't call the police - so we did and we were offered an escort away from the protest.
Jewish people should not need police protection in this country every time they want to stand as Jews in public. But the truth is that they do. And the situation has been getting worse for years. Can you imagine the confidence these fascists will feel if Corbyn wins?
I got told by one demonstrator I was attacked for 'filming' and the Jewish activist was attacked for 'talking sh*t'. This violent fascism has NO PLACE ANYWHERE on these shores. This was just another day researching antisemitism. Read the story here david-collier.com/jewish-activis… -
