A post Withdrawal Agreement no-deal will be marginally less painful than the one we were previously talking about.
Always worth bearing in mind the EU got virtually everything they wanted in the Withdrawal Agreement (money, no Irish border, citizens rights, GIs), the UK virtually nothing (no trade, border within UK). UK enters future relationship talks in weak position.
(Bizarrely to point out that the UK failed to achieve any of what David Davis and fellow ERG members said we would in summer 2016 and therefore got a poor deal is now seen as pro-EU. Such politics combined with continued phoney expertise could still be toxic in Brexit part 2)

Clearly there are racists and anti-semites who are members of our major parties. Plus thousands of anonymous twitter accounts.

What matters is how the parties respond. On which basis we award Labour perhaps 2/10, Conservatives 4/10.

No moral high ground here.
This is obviously a subtweet to numerous tweets swapping horror stories about activities in one or other major party, or actual government actions.

Yes we have problems in our political parties. I think more of those admitting that of their own party than accusing the other

The parties are also united in their desire to make sure the courts and other bodies shouldn't have the power to scrutinise them...

From the story I think Ivan Rogers is being too optimistic here. The EU will ask for more even than he says just for a tariff free deal.

Could be the first time in living memory that anyone has accused him of being an optimist. Will await the transcript...
Here's the nub of the Ivan Rogers argument - Johnson is simply repeating earlier errors and would have to accept anything the EU offered in December 2020
Rogers says the EU should pause before negotiating. I agree - it is normal for trade partners to look at the big picture before talks. But will Johnson allow? Quite possibly not.

So, one thing always worth bearing in mind about promoting stuff on Twitter - most people won't see something you only tweet once, and that's before we even factor in the dreaded algorithm.
I'm currently promoting two endeavors of mine - a newsletter on Substack and a bookstore opening up here in Hagerstown.

This tweet will be the first time multiple people notice me mentioning either of them.
And at the same time someone's going to read that last tweet and go "But how can that be? You've been all but spamming the timeline with both!"
