(1) Thread: Why Americans should care about the firing of Prince Andrew in the UK.

I know, y'all don't think much of monarchy, especially the one your ancestors bled and died to overthrow.

But I make the case for why this event is so relevant for you at this time.

#MAGA🇺🇸
(2) Ordinarily, when a minor or major European royal does something stupid, even criminal, they get fired & people eventually move on. Example: The abdication of Juan Carlos of Spain in 2014. His son and replacement King Felipe VI is a good guy, IMO:
(3) If you read some history of Spain over the past century, you'll learn a bit about why the modern form of monarchy is not such a bad thing, & can even contribute to security in the face of tyranny or the threat of it.

Spain is in a bad way, but at least they have Felipe.
(4) See, my beloved stateside friends, modern monarchy (in a few select places) is night & day different to the one of the 18th century that you had to live under. I could write a book about it, but trust me, as a subject of QEII who sees the US as the greatest country ever.
(5) Sure, any POTUS can comfort disaster victims, but when Prince William does it, almost everyone sees it as a moment of human compassion and a way to lift spirits that you can't buy, or train for.

It's not a job for elected politicians.

The UK will keep its monarchy.
(6) I don't recall seeing many moments like that from Prince Andrew over the 40 years of his career.

Granted, he has served his country as a combat naval officer & as patron of many military regiments & other worthy institutions.

He blew that all away. Sadly, for the public.
(7) The British monarchy does so many things for the country (& the ~14 other countries like NZ who have the British monarch as their Head of State.)

It's not just ceremonial; there is a governmental element to it, that is real & relevant in 2019.

Our Queen will be so missed.
(8) One silver lining of HM's second great "annus horribilis" (see: 1992) is that I'm starting to think that Prince Charles isn't going to be so bad after all, in the top job. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Yes there are many things I don't like about him, but he ain't Andrew.
(9) Back to the topic. The firing of Prince Andrew will turn out to be a watershed moment in British history, & is an important signpost in the 8-year project that is Donald J. Trump's war on organized crime. In the US & the world.

It was Trump's DOJ that went after Epstein.
(10) So many people fail to appreciate that you can't round up all the internationally conspiratorial crooks in one year, or even four.

The crybaby sore loser Democrats can tantrum all the way to the 2025 inauguration of Trump's anointee, but it won't stop this Great process.
(11) Trump is so powerful that he can make me capitalize words like Great, mid-sentence. I gotta say, it's heard for me to do that, but it's made easier knowing how much it triggers the sanctimony of the left. Good times.
(12) Trump didn't go after Epstein so that Andrew would be fired. Not at all.

Trump merely observed his oath of office & got out of the way of the DOJ as law enforcement. Few Presidents have done that.

Trump put America first, knowing that some good people would get hurt.
(13) In this companion thread I comment on the significance of that seemingly trivial tweet a year ago.

Trump knew how much the daughters who were toddlers when this began have, and will, hurt because of their father.

(14) Of course, even Trump could not have predicted that Epstein would die in suspicious (#EDKH) circumstances, or that Prince Andrew would destroy himself in a spectacular unforced error.

Trump has been on first name terms with several UK royals, for decades.
(15) The fate of the US is intertwined with that of the UK, for geostrategic and geopolitical reasons. Washington and London co-operate closely on law enforcement matters that cross their borders.

Prince Andrew will be interviewed by the FBI. Possibly other RF members, too.
(16) I started thinking about this as I completed my earlier thread, with these points:
(17) I am starting to question whether the gullible & emotionally immature Andrew was targeted by the deep state &/or a foreign power, for entrapment so that a serious scandal would one day blow up, harming the institution of the monarchy, & UK independence.

An easy target.
(18) The sweetest prize for communists, whether National Socialists in 1930s Germany, Bolsheviks in the former USSR, or the Chinese, is the freedom-loving US and UK.

The two are indivisible. If one falls, the other would too.
(19) A monarchy, even a strong, constitutional one like that of the UK, is a weak point in a free country, for numerous reasons.

The US Founding Fathers knew this & dealt with the problem.

Even FDR came to realize that the special relationship is a crucial national interest.
(20) If the UK had fallen in WWII, the Reich would have controlled strategic interests around the world that would have made the maintenance of US national security a great deal harder.

I thank God, Churchill, & George VI that the US saved the UK in the nick of time.
(21) My key point is that all this is interconnected.

And it is infinitely more important to the US than the Inpeach Clownshow. Therefore, media are ignoring it.

Sure, they've covered the story a bit, but they will soon move on. You know there is more to it, though.
(22) Since 2016 I've been amazed, and disappointed, by the way the a portion of the American public (and foreign publics too) have retreated into their media-addled haze and are soaking up as much InPeach Lollapalooza as they can.

They refuse to look at the facts.
(23) I'm not worried, of course, since both the US and the UK maintain and grow a majority of normal citizens who haven't fallen for the lies of legacy media and politicians.

The crazed minority on the left still baffle me. It's an intellectual immaturity, and cowardice.
(24) We knew that #DrainTheSwamp would be a challenging process for us the good guys, and an extremely painful process for the bad guys, who will stop at nothing in a futile effort to save themselves.

Prince Andrew is a bit player. The others are far more clever, too.
(25) This week has shown that the process will not always be a smooth one, it will be messy, and there will be collateral damage to innocent people.

Keep your loins girded, or whatever it is you do.🍸
(26) Another good column analyzing the British royal crisis. An interesting comparison to 1917, too:

dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…
(27) The early comments on that column and their upvote ratios are a great snapshot of where public opinion is at:
(28) When Andrew married Sarah Ferguson he was 26 years old, so it was somewhat difficult for me to judge what his character and capabilities would turn out to be. Also, I was 16 years old, lol.

What if marrying her was his greatest mistake?
(29) It's now clear that Sarah was cheating on Andrew long before the toe-sucking pics were published & her own #YoureFired moment swiftly followed. There were at least two different affairs that we know of. Andrew must have known, surely? They remained the closest of friends.
(30) Obviously, both Andrew & Sarah are not very smart. Individually, they have shown the most terrible judgement, over & over.

Today I remembered her mother moved to Argentina after divorcing her father. Not exactly a hotbed of freedom & conservatism.

Was Sarah a plant?
(31) I don't think Sarah could have been a plant in the classical sense, as the plant has to be smart enough to know what they're doing. Think Amanda Thirsk if you want to go down that path.

In 1985, Sarah's bubbly personality was irresistible. She seemed perfect for Andrew.
(32) I can't get my head around this yet. I've spent so many years wishing Sarah Ferguson would just go away already. I guess she never will. She wasn't the moderating influence Andrew needed, the minder, the coach.

She crashed and burned after just 6 years then never left.
(33) Prince William's choice is looking better all the time, isn't it?

I'm thinking long term now. We monarchists need Charles to delay William's accession as long as possible, so the kids get the best childhood they can.

I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal.
