– Tillerson, Perry, Pompeo, Sessions, Haley, Ross, Price, DeVos and Zinke. The network’s ALEC undermines state laws across the country – things like abortion rights, union rights, and environmental protections.
He undermines college education across the country, by funding reactionary professors. His Federalist Society is destroying Federal courts at all levels, including Kavanaugh and Gorsuch. He helps fund the NRA.

Here's what I think of as the dear #American journalists thread 2.0. It concerns Facebook and #lka, hate speech detection, and language complexities of the Global South, where @LIRNEasia (the think tank I work at) operates.
It seems a perfectly natural reaction, given the phenomenal amount of hate speech, to urge @facebook and @twitter to get their shit together and take it off the platform. Post March 2018, we - as in Sri Lankan civil society - tried.
In fact, one of the longest running arguments @sanjanah, @NalakaG and myself have had with the @facebook India team is that they consistently fail to live up to their own damn Community Standards, and only seem to pay attention as long as the @nytimes or @WIRED is slamming them.

People seem to want an "honest conversation" about the NHS. So let's have an honest conversation about some basic economics of the model of healthcare in the UK:
1. Pricing healthcare at the point of use at zero means demand will exceed supply. Period. Services have to be rationed, via queuing.
2. Absent price mechanisms, resources get allocated by planning and projected demands. When demands differ from projections, you get acute shortages and severe queuing.
