This also buys into the idea/frame that progressive proposals are the mirror of Republicans in that they're designed to hurt a group of people. We're not proposing a wealth tax to punish Jeff Bezos. We're proposing it to give millions of people the same stability he has.
Universal health care, education, etc for a good society not about hoarding benefits from one income class or another. If I pay my fair share to the public good and Bill Gates benefits were all better off.
We need to stop making this way harder and more complex than it needs to be. Republicans have spent billions and decades trying to ruin everything.
