In their minority report published this evening, Nunes, Jordan, and McCaul came close to actually saying the truth in the executive summary.
2/ The "unelected officials" favored Ukraine in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

The Trump-Fox-GOP are on Russia's side. What Giuliani and Trump were doing in Ukraine was trying to tap into and re-establish the Russia-style corruption.

3/ The hearings taught us exactly what corruption in Ukraine looked like: It took the form of politically motivated prosecutions, which exactly what Trump tried to pressure Zelensky into doing.

Q: Exactly what Trump policies initiatives did the "unelected bureaucrats" like Fiona Hill and Marie Yovanovitch disagree with?

A: Hill and the others were anti-politically-motivated-investigations, because they're trying to help Ukraine move away from Russia's dominance.

1/ The testimony of Feldman, Karlan, and Gerhardt is easily summarized.

All three believed that Trump’s behavior was impeachable and dangerous.

In fact, Gerhardt said if Trump’s behavior isn’t impeachable,
nothing is impeachable.”
2/ One way to understand impeachment is that it’s about the balance of power between the executive and legislative branches.

If impeachment and removal are too easy—if the legislature can remove a president at will—the president becomes beholden to Congress.

(Thread) Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the House will proceed with Articles of Impeachment.

“But wait” you ask. “There are still investigations to be done!”

There is nothing to stop the investigations from continuing.

“Can they impeach again?”

They can but they probably won’t.
1/ Disclaimer: I am not privy to inside information, and I dislike making future predictions (which are guesses).

So instead, I'll discuss two options.

(1) The House wraps this up and sends it to the Senate by the end of the year.
2/ Option (2) is wait until all the investigations are complete.

The advantage of Option 2 is based on the assumption that there is an advantage to waiting to until we have evidence that:

This says the investigation into Operation Ukraine Shakedown was launched before Schiff learned about the Whistleblower complaint.

Did we know that?
. . . you see, I've had this idea that Pelosi knew this was unfolding when she said Trump would impeach himself.

Giuliani was open about what he was doing in Ukraine.
The DOJ and other agencies were in a panic over the withholding of the aid.

I just wonder . . . when people over the summer were shouting, "Impeach now!" and impugning Pelosi as some kind of traitor for not launching an impeachment proceeding, perhaps she knew this was coming down the pike, and waited until Congress had enough evidence of what was afoot.

😲Trump even tried to redefine G7 as NOT a gathering of democracies. And became combative about democracy having no special weight‼️
There’s no good reason to reward Putin now. #Russia’s only become a worse pariah since annexing Crimea in 2014. Think Ukraine, Syria, Skripal, election ops.

#Putin's opening to this press conference suggests the takeover of southern #Syria by Asad/Iran is a model of U.S.-Russia cooperation that should be expanded, and flatters Trump that his summit with Kim [which Putin very much liked the look of] resolved the Korean Peninsula.
On #Ukraine, Putin hints broadly that the U.S. agrees with him that Kyiv's intransigence prevented Minsk's implementation, and then carefully lets it be known Trump brought up the election meddling, an assist to Trump politically, before of course dismissing it.
Trump frames engagement around U.S.-Russian co-operation in WW2, notes that unfortunate Cold War business, then says: "Our relationship has never been worse ... that changed as of about four hours ago." Says he is being politically brave to do what's right. Lambastes media + Dems
