Prepping for a hearing tomorrow. But taking a needed break to get an early view of Just Mercy. To watch & witness the story of Bryan Stevenson, my professor and mentor (and professor and mentor to so many). The reason I became a public defender. Ready to be inspired as always.
Just finished. So inspired. Now hearing from Norris Henderson. An innocent man who served 27 years in Angola. #JustMercy brought me to tears. I can’t wait for the country to see this. Asked this crowd who thinks this film will bring new folks into fold. Everyone raised hands.
Norris Henderson is the Founder & Director of the Voice of the Experienced. Please learn more here: vote-nola.org/norris-henders…
Ok back home and back to prepping for hearing tomorrow. I'm fired up by the depiction of Bryan Stevenson's fight in #JustMercy. Not arguing to overturn the wrongful conviction of a man condemned to die, but a person's life is on the line. A true privilege.
