This is Trump’s decision and we should not be afraid to say so. No one needed to die. He chose this fight. He either wanted this or was too stupid to realize it was the inevitable response of his stupid decision. Don’t march behind this foolish, stupid man.
The guardrails are not holding. From Mar-a-Lago, Trump made a flip decision to take out a man that the Bush & Obama administrations declined to take out because they knew it would escalate dramatically and cost American lives. Trump did it on a whim. Now people are dying.
Don’t normalize this or pretend he’s a normal president. He’s not. It has been widely reported that he does not read his intel briefings, or listen to the generals or national security staff. He’s just making this up as he goes along. From Mar-a-Lago. Now it’s leading us to war.
