It is also very shocking that India targeted those people.. the money they make is not in millions.. most of the workers make decent amount. However that may not get them a decent facility in those countries.. many stay in sharing or company provided accomodation..
It is against the country’s law too.. the individuals working there don’t pay tax but then they have to pay tax elsewhere.. that’s cruel.. seriously if this gets implemented, I have a suggestion for the countries that don’t tax individuals.
The Muslim countries like Azerbaijan and UAE can levy a small amount from individuals.. however, this can be something the companies should be able to claim.. and it should result in higher pay for the employees.. this way it’s a win-win and Indians don’t have to taxes in india.
I know it’s sounds weird but countries should take an exception for citizens from india and make sure their hard earned income stays with them and not given away as taxes in india. It maybe a loss but that doesn’t belong to india anyway..
There is a reason those countries don’t levy tax.. however, the home country shouldn’t take advantage of the situation and tax the individuals. That’s so wrong and a burden on individuals..
@SidrahDP you know the reason why the countries don’t tax individuals. It’s not right for india to levy taxes on the income earned.. the money belongs in the country they work in.. right?
