H.R. 5383, the "New Way Forward Act", which has 44 cosponsors, would effectively eviscerate immigration enforcement at the border and in the interior of the United States.

It would limit the criminal grounds of removal so that only the most extreme offenses would render criminal aliens removable, and would also expand the relief available to the few aliens who would still be removable on criminal grounds.

It would make criminal grounds of removal and relief retroactive so that criminal aliens who have previously been removed could apply to have their cases reopened or reconsidered.

DHS would be required to pay to fly them back to the US.

It would essentially make every jurisdiction in the United States a "sanctuary jurisdiction" by preventing state and local law enforcement from assisting ICE and CBP in immigration enforcement in any way.

Further, the bill would:

- create a "statute of limitations" of five years for the commencement of removal proceedings
- all but eliminate detention for immigration purposes
- place onerous restrictions on ICE officers and Border Patrol agents

The 12 districts with the lowest share of citizens has roughly the same population of voting-age citizens as the 9 districts with the highest citizen shares.

This means Americans in the high-citizen districts have only 9 representatives in Congress while those in the lowest-citizenship districts have 12, even though the combined populations of citizens are roughly equal.

Districts with large non-citizen shares of the population tend to vote overwhelmingly Democratic, while high-citizenship districts lean strongly Republican, but not as strongly as non-citizen heavy districts vote Democratic.

Acting Secretary of DHS Chad Wolf announced on Wednesday the termination of eligibility for enrollment and re-enrollment in Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) for residents of New York.

This is in reaction to the NY Green-Light law, which:

- Prohibits ICE & CBP officers and agents from accessing info maintained by NYDMV
- Relaxes the documentation standards for licenses, requiring the motor vehicle agency to accept unverifiable docs

Removal proceedings for respondents subject to MPP are conducted in prefabricated buildings with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning — not tents.

The BIA just issued a decision holding that respondents subject to MPP who have received notice of their hearings, fail to appear, and are removable should be ordered removed in absentia.

It appears that many respondents subject to MPP are not appearing for court, and some are reentering illegally. EOIR should publish statistics on the number of those aliens who fail to appear.

Forever starving for cheap labor and opposed to mechanization, the ag industry stands to benefit from 1 million+ newly amnestied workers supplied by this bill. What's worse, the bill also puts these line-jumpers on a pathway to citizenship. 1 million+ more votes for 2030 Dems!
At last count, H.R.5038 - Farm Workforce Modernization Act had 49 cosponsors, spanning both parties, and swill likely sail through committee and pass the House. It will be up to patriotic members of the Senate and President Trump to block this cheap labor and Dem vote bonanza.

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.
