Let me quote the great yAmunAcArya, a Vaishnava sectarian and philosopher who lived circa 950 CE in Srirangam

This is a verse from his renowned "Stotra Ratna"
There is no pretense at claiming equality of the Trimurthis here.

And I am sure similar tributes to Mahadeva exist in the Shaiva tradition

Interesting response

Kneejerk response is to tie our ethnicity to a geographic space. e.g. native towns

Below is an attempt to transcend narrow territorial affinity, and affiliate to an intellectual tradition linked to ethnicity

In this case

Vedic polytheism
Shrauta ritualism
Actually this makes a lot of sense...
As a section of smArthas have been remarkably successful in preserving a certain affinity to old-style polytheism, as well as adherence to Vedic ritual

A continuity that arguably goes back 3000 years
More meaningful than defining one's ethnicity in geographic terms.

For all we know, most of our "native towns" have been home to only our immediate ancestors (for not more than 200-250 years in most cases)

One of modernity's central conceits is that formal education can equip man to discriminate right and wrong

So he no longer needs tradition/prejudice/religion as guides

A line from an old movie echoing this view. Heroine says

"mA main paDi likhi hoon. Accha bura samajhti hoon"
The movie is from 1964 titled "ZIndagi"

The heroine is a poor girl from a respectable family who takes to stage-acting to earn money

The mother opposes this - "Beti tum oonche gharane ki hai. Theatre se door raho"

The line in the above tweet is in response to that
The heroine becomes popular in the theatre touring party as a dancer, actress

But as one would expect, theatre life has its association with low-lifes of various kinds

And this hurts her marital life eventually

Which regime do I prefer?

I have a strong preference for # 3

A constrained monarchy with very limited discretion. A powerful parliament. But elected through a limited franchise (not more than 20-30% of the population)
Alternatively you have a bicameral parliament, with a lower house elected through 100% franchise.

But a very powerful upper house (not an emaciated one like the current House of Lords) elected through a very limited franchise

Parshurama led 21 campaigns against tyrant Karityavir Arjun of Haiya tribe whose capital was in Mahishmati (Maheshwar, M.P)
Parshurama conquered his lands & distributed them to Rishi Kashyap & his Brahmin warriors. These Mahipals(land owners) became Mohyals, the warrior Brahmins.
Dronacharya, a poor Brahmin came to Parshurama after he had given away all the land so Parshurama taught him art of war.
Dronacharya established an ashram across Shivalik ranges on banks of river Tons,where he taught Royal Princes.
The Dera of Drona, came to be called Dehradun.
