Just for added context, Holger Hestermeyer is currently employed to write about trade deals, and Andrew Neil is a journalist. If journalists keep making comments to the whole world using sloppy terminology, they can't complain when they are pulled up.
It's important to remember that Andrew Neil is not a trade expert of any discernible kind, and uniquely refers to the Most Favoured Nation clause as: Most Mutually and Favourable Standards.
I'm not kidding, I googled it and "what's called" has only even been "called" it once.
Also, citing Andrew Lilico, who is seemingly a parody account that met up with a talking cricket before being made a real boy, does him no favours here.
