It certainly wasn't questionable for them to be claiming to be a 501(c)4 LLC Super PAC.
It's also certainly not odd that they no longer claim to be a 501(c)4 LLC.

On the bright side, Defend Our Parks, although not a 501(c)4 LLC, did register as a PAC.
They mailed in their registration a few days after people started questioning it. You can see all the information about them on the FEC website.
