Read the thread by @PreetBharara and have in mind that this hack's right hand person oversaw anti-Trump cases such as Michael Cohen's. Those guys (plus Comey et al) are not apolitical justice worriers. They are petty, vindictive, partisans who abuse gov tools to crush their prey!
A former US Attorney exposes his petty, vindictive partisanship because a key guardrail of our democracy - a free press - is gone. In a sane world, reporters would shame Preet, Comey, Brennon for behaving the way they do and question retroactively their handling of Trump cases.
Such accountability would force those hacks to shut up in shame. But instead of doing their job to hold the powerful accountable, many members of the free press enabled those hacks by serving essentially as their PR agents -- All for clicks and owning Trump. Disgrace.
