Daily #covid19 sitrep from @WHO is up (numbers as of 10am Geneva):

China:
81048 (+27) cases
3204 (+10) deaths

Outside China:
72469 (+10955) cases
in 143 (+9) countries
2531 (+333) deaths

@WHO New territories here are:
Kazakhstan, Curacao, Namibia, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Mauritania and Mayotte

#SARSCov2 is truly spreading everywhere.

@WHO Also: Africa is picking up more #covid19 cases. (6 of the 9 new countries/territories today).
As of now local transmission is reported in 4 countries (South Africa, Algeria, Senegal and Cameroon.) Expect that to go up, unfortunately.

@WHO Pattern of the last few days is continuing in China: All the reported deaths are from Hubei province, but only 4 of the new #covid19 cases are reported from there. Rest (23) spread out over several provinces.

Looks like US just didn’t post new numbers.

@WHO Sitrep also mentions a high-level mission on #covid19 to Iraq that has concluded. First reported case there was an Iranian student, reported on 22 February, followed by more travellers. Now, 93 cases have been reported from across the country, as well as 9 deaths.

@WHO Schools and malls have been closed, major gatherings have been banned. "WHO is working around the clock to establish 3 negative-pressure rooms in Baghdad, Erbil and Basra to accommodate patients who might require more sophisticated medical treatment.”
