If you run a fever, even if very slight, you leave on an ambulance directly to a hospital. Otherwise, these very polite people in hazmat suits take you to the next step.
You will get video interviewed (and get your temperature checked again. Then you get a green or yellow seal. If green, you can go (only to an empty) apartment for your quarantine. Green is rare. Yellow, you get on a bus.
You are taken to a facility where EVERYBODY is tested. The real swab test. You wait for hours until the test is complete. The whole process is between 15-30 hours. Then!
Then, and only then, you can go home. And YOUR DOOR IS SEALED, either electronically or with plastic. You are only allowed to open it to get food and take the trash out. That is it. No frolicking around.

China closed its borders because this very detailed arrival process was stretching resources thin. No hotels for putting people into quarantine. Testing almost everybody.

And, your community gets to decide if they will allow to do the quarantine at your apartment. I got permission for coming back to mine. But, as the manager of the community wrote: there are 8 families doing it and we are concerned about them (she means, herself).
