“The third sea is the Sea of Harkandh [from Sanskrit Harikeliya, Bay of Bengal]. Between it and the Sea of Larvi there are numerous islands. It is said that they are one thousand and nine hundred islands, and they mark the boundaries of these two seas,..

.. namely Larvi [Lata for Gujarat] and Harkandh... In these islands, ruled by the woman, coconut palms grow in abundance. The distance between one island and the other is two, three or four farsakh, and each one of these is inhabited by people and has coconut palms...

.. Their wealth consists of cowry shells and the queen hoards them in her treasury…”

These islands used to have women rulers too who welded much political prowess while running administration efficiently in these islands, until ruthless misogynistic Islamic forces overran these paradises,..

.. to establish their bigoted rule which permanently uprooted the matriarchal society in this part of the world. In the modern times, both of these islands are Islam dominated who were force converted under special circumstances in Middle Ages.
