1) Dianne Feinstein, the OTHER Senator from California, 84 years old, currently kicking and screaming to avoid a primary-induced retirement.

Before becoming senator in 92, she was the mayor of SFran, and before THAT she was on the SFran Board of Supervisors. 47 years of politics.
She’s currently serving her 4th full term as senator (5th if you count the special election) and is now poster grandparent for term limits.

Yep. The argument was, because it was ok to ban child pornography despite the first amendment, it was ok to ban certain firearms.
Note Ted Cruz’s question was specifically if it was ok for the federal government to ban certain books and not others.
Not exactly an apples to apples comparison on his part, I will cede, but its several shades closer to a comparison than her argument.

She was a big supporter of FISA, Patriot Act, and other mass surveillance, doubling down when Snowden revealed the mass warrantless wiretaps

They sell PS facilities and plots of land worth hundreds of millions, often shortchanging the PS or selling the property to itself.
Its 2013, so you get 1 guess as to why that conflict of interest with Feinstein’s husband (the chairman of the said) wasn’t investigated.
