Socialism = Pro-Humanity

Capitalism = Pro-Capital

Black American Socialists are pro-HUMANITY. It’s right there in the name!

Of course we (BSA) are starting with and for our own, because we remain at the bottom, along with our Indigenous American kinfolk!

Don’t let the media and entertainment industries confuse you; representation in media is important, but many seem oblivious to the fact that Black Americans make up around 12.6% of the American population.

Indigenous peoples make up around 1% of the American population!

The oppression that Black and Indigenous Americans experience on a daily basis is STILL incredibly disproportionate to the struggles of other ethnic groups within this country, and this is precisely why the poor and working class struggle depends upon our involvement!

Too many of our white American kinfolk (especially lower to upper middle class) are still caught up in the toxic allure of white supremacy, and are STILL deceived into believing that the white American capitalist has their best interests at heart (ultimate case in point: Trump).

Many poor and working class white Americans continue to blame us and other ethnic groups for their issues.

“Leftist” white Americans stoke the fires of this dangerous misunderstanding when DEHUMANIZING instead of trying to speak out of love WHILE guarding Black/Indigenous lives!

This is a *fine line* that *must* be walked.

White American Socialists must stand firm as allies in protecting those of us trying to work our way up out of the valley and onto the mountaintop, but ALSO reach out to poor and working class white Americans from a place of HUMANITY.

You can call humanity “love.”

You can call humanity “care.”

You can call humanity “peace.”

You can call humanity any of these things; the common thread is that they are all words that describe harmonious elements of our highest and most natural existence as a species on earth.

The complex and challenging socioeconomic structure we face is by design...

It’s on all of us who know better to reach far off into the communities of those who look like us to spread the Socialist message, and to ALSO ensure that our most vulnerable are protected at ALL TIMES.

Helping “fascists” and “neo-Nazis” (or Nazis) reach an enlightened, “humanistic” state is not the responsibility and/or burden of Black Americans; our core focus has been SURVIVAL...

But we should ALL remember that we are ALL human beings.

You’re for ALL, or you’re for NONE.

As humans, we are all shaped by our environments.

It’s easier to write off certain behavior as being inherent to certain groups of people instead of acknowledging that “race” is a social construct, and changing the environments/institutions that facilitate our collective demise.

Analyze the environments. Analyze the “systems.”

Change the environments. Change the “systems.”

We need better institutions.

We need NEW institutions.

This will lead us to victory.
