#bbcqt just before Q2 I commented on @dominicraab's statement on @the3million and @BritishInEurope
@BBC edited it out
Are non-UK ppl not allowed to challenge the deal after all?
At least @DawnButlerBrent , @thatginamiller etc heard it
I just want ppl to be informed⬇️
@DominicRaab @The3Million @BritishInEurope @BBC @DawnButlerBrent @thatginamiller What I said today on #bbcqt and did not make it on TV:
#citizensrights deal for @The3Million and @BritishInEurope is not 'a done deal' because
1. 'Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed' - Theresa May
[2]
2. It does not comply with Vote Leave's promise of 'automatically granted indefinite leave to remain' (1 June 2016 Vote Leave statement)

[3]
The current "done deal" is based on settled status for @The3Million
This is not automatic as one has to qualify and pay for it.
This is not in line with what many of my friends voted for
[4]
This is not about being pro- or anti-migration. It is about campaign accountability.
Who is held accountable for campaign lies that affect millions of people?

[5]
Very disappointed that a criticism from a Romanian young woman did not make it to the televised #bbcqt. My accent may not be perfect for TV but we were in #Islington, home for many non-UK people. The audience should represent them as well
[6]
No voice in the #EUref
No voice in #GeneralElection
No voice on #bbcqt
Where can @The3Million have a voice?

[7]
To conclude, @DominicRaab statement that @The3Million and @BritishInEurope is a finalised deal is simply misleading.

They might not have liked my point, or the programme was too long, but I do have a point.

[8]
And I'll continue criticising the deals on #citizensrights until they comply with the Vote Leave promises.
Otherwise, no politicians would ever be held accountable for their campaign lies, be the rights of @The3Million, @NHSMillion or whatever it may be
[9]
So please, be critical of what you hear on TV.
I have seen many of you ask why did no one criticise @DominicRaab 's point.
I did, but it was not good enough to make it on screen.
Do speak out and keep fighting for your rights.

[end]
P.S. There is great work done by @LizzyBuchan, @lisaocarroll and others who actually speak to non-UK people, not only talk about them like others.
We do need the 'human face of migration' in the debate, and we also need migrants speaking for themselves in UK politics&society.
P.P.S. After a few comments that #bbcqt is not actually edited, would be good to hear a @bbcquestiontime response - why is my comment not on screen?
And even if edited because the programme was too long, why take out the ONLY criticism of #citizensrights deal?
Thank you.
Afterthought:
Perhaps this - the MSM not giving voice- is the core reason why we have such negative views on migration.
We get the Mail's stories on Romanians but we cannot get a Romanian's voice on #bbcqt
A comprehensive debate on migration means listening to migrants too.
Thank you for all your support.
Whatever your political views, you have a right to be informed on the facts about the 'deal' on #citizenrights.
This is not about being left or right, pro- or anti-migration.
It is about holding politicians to account when they mislead the public.
Polite as always, I just submitted my complaint to @BBC. Feel free to take info from my text. Taxpayer-funded corporations should be accountable and explain why they edited a point about politicians' accountability.
UPDATE: In absence of a reason so far, I escalated this further by writing to my MP. If you are concerned about my challenge to the lie about #citizensrights not being heard, please contact your MP telling why it's important Vote Leave promises on our rights are respected 100%
ACTION Update: Some of you expressed the wish to raise this issue with your MPs or local politicians. I drafted a letter for you, please feel free to copy all or parts of it. Thanks again for your support. Let's hold #citizensrights lies to account!
UPDATE: Received a reply from my MP saying he will continue to pressure the Government on #citizensrights. My MP has always been supportive on this issue. Thank you @DanielZeichner !
UPDATE BBC complaint: It is not true there was no interaction with the panel. I explicitely corrected a panelist's comment @The3Million @BritishInEurope
