Alternative view: what John Brennan, a notoriously political operative, is doing in this case, and has been doing by hinting at tranches of secret evidence, is the tactic of a con man: just take him at his word right now, and later he's got something great for you. 
The McCarthy-sympathetic Right of the 1950s drew the line at accusations as irresponsible as this, and cast the purveyors of such lunacy, like the John Birch Society, into the political margins.

Examining Brexit through the prism of Russian disinformation and Arron Banks misses the point so badly it's difficult to know where to start.
This is either a terrible, basic error, or wilful misleading: the Russian hacking and emails that were common knowledge were those Mrs Clinton deleted that were almost certainly intercepted by Moscow, not the DNC breach that came later.
Given such an extreme thesis, the evidence just doesn't come close to backing it up. Not a good indicator of where the mainstream Left is right now. nymag.com/daily/intellig…
