It’s also possibly worth mention that the white man in question had killed women before my sister, women more marginalized than she was, and had even done time for accessory to murder for helping hide the body of a 5yo his friend killed.
If he’d been a man of color, let alone an immigrant, he likely would never have been able to get the kind of plea deal that eventually set him free to murder multiple women.
